May 12th, 2009Plan B, Brad Pitt’s production company, bought the rights to use a Paul Pope graphic novel. Battling Boy is a story about the son of a god who come down from a mountain to rid the world of giants.
Alex Tse was put on board to write a screen adaptation to the Graphic novel like he did with the $117 Million dollar grossing movie “Watchmen.”
I am looking forward to seeing what Tse does with this one. More to come.

Zack Efron confirmed the rumors that he will be playing Jonny Quest from the depths of the Hanna-Barbera Cartoon era of the 1960’s. This has been a popular comic from time to time up till now and soon it will be on the Silver Screen, sort of speak. The High School Musical veteran is going to play in the movie as Jonny Quest but he is trying to stay far away from the “Hero Complex” that people get into after being in this type of movie.

There are talks about Angelina Jolie being in the the sequal to Sin City. I thought that idea was a little humerous, but come on now it is a great pic for Angelina Jolie, she would look great in black and white, especially with her chiseled features already. So I thought this would be a great opportunity to ask for ideas. Everyone knows how awesome of an action star Angelina Jolie is, just look at Tomb Raider. Come up with an idea and put it into a comment about what Superhero you think Angelina Jolie should be if you could have her be any character or make one up and I will be happy to post it here.

March 27th, 2009This if a real life story…A group that call themselves “The Great Lakes Superheroes Guild” walk the streets of Minneapolis “protecting and serving” the community. This Guild called themselves “Geist” and have secret identities: Emerald Cowboy, Razor Hawk, and Shadow Fire. Thy Patrol the streets of their neighborhood every night and come to Minneapolis at least once a month to patrol the streets of the Downtown. Their goal is to protect the people, prevent crime, stop crime, help the poor, and do tasks much like the Boy Scouts. Real life superhero-ism started in the late 1990’s and gained fame and popularity in since September 11, 2001 and the terrorist attacks to the United States People. They say the “Pay if Forward.”

Since the dawn of time SuperHeros existed in many cultures from Sea to Shining Sea. People have worshiped Hero’s in Ancient Cultures of Eqypt called Gods, and during the Rein of the Roman Empire. Many people to this day in cultures worship heros of sorts in many countries.
Today in America Superhero worship and enjoyment is on a whole new level with new movies “Batman Begins,” “Superman Returns,” “Watchmen,” “The Spirit,” “The Hulk,” and many more we are seeing that America needs Hero’s. The Economy is in a recession and people are looking more to movies to find out what they are missing. The Audience, the American People can be anyone they want to be or anyone the “Silver Screen” puts on for at least 2 to 3 hours.
Hancock a movie of ages depicts “Will Smith” as somone who woke up with two theater tickets in his pocket, no memory, and superhuman strength and speed. He is able to do everything from Fly to Pick up a Mountain like a baseball, but he is lonely, he is depressed and all he does is show the world he doesn’t care, until he does. Now we all care in America, we all want that hero, we all want to be that Hero, and Be all that we can be…for an hour or two.
Hero’s are created from nothing and they become GODS, now it is your turn to turn your idea into the next movie. Hancock was based on a small idea, now lets bring your BIG ideas and make them legendary.
